Guest Blog by Debbie Ashton, Usborne Books
Hi my names Debbie I am mommy to 3 lovely beauties aged 10, 8 and 16 months and also a Team leader for Usborne Books and have been with them for just over 4 years now. We are an award winning children's publishers that offer books to children from Birth to young adults.
For the last 4 years Usborne has allowed me to find myself again and not just Jessie's or CJ's mom. I never thought I would have been able to build my own business as I hadn't got the confidence but I have and I get a buzz out of finding new homes for our fantastic books.
Many of our books contain fantastic opportunities for learning, whether it's fine motor skills and pincer grip to hand and eye coordination and sensory needs especially for younger children.
Babies learn through touch and these books are perfect to encourage their use of senses and will spark curiosity and lead them to explore the world around them.
Reading and sharing books with your toddlers helps them to get to know sounds, words and development of language and early skills. It can support communication and concentration and to learn the value of books.
My daughter wouldn't touch books when she was younger, she had no concentration skills and hated reading until I started Usborne. Now she can't get enough of it.
Thank you for reading my blog and questions you have please let me know.
